state i'm in: restlessly unhappy.
tune: karen ramirez "stormy day".

if someone does little to ever achieve any better, why should they complain when they fail to achieve any better?
i just get so pissed off when people close to me take that attitude. how clear does the world have to make it for them? if you don't have much to start with, generally, it is up to you to put in the hard yards to get what you want - whatever that may be:
- creative control over your career
- wealth
- health
- happiness in a relationship
- a successful family
- big muscles.
anybody with half a brain knows what the basic formula for success is. find what it is you love and aspire to, and put in the hard yards to make it happen. ok, so some paths are harder than others, but, from scotty's fountain of wisdom, "pick your battles".
you can sit idly by and wait for luck to blow your way. in all honesty, it might. you may win the lotto, or those telstra shares might surge upwards in price, higher than anyone's expectations. but let's be reasonable; it probably won't happen that way. only you can change your world. as a rule of mine, i believe we are ultimately responsible for essentially everything that happens to us each day. so carpe diem - seize the day! grab what lies ahead of you with both hands and shake the shit out of it until what you want falls out the other end!!

phew. i feel a lot better after that last post. but to be honest, i know i am only skimming the top off a pool of anger that occasionally boils over as witnessed above.
muthafuckas better realise now is the time to self-actualise. life passes people by and they wonder why. complacency and laziness are worse traits of humanity. it takes all people to make up the world - lucky not everyone is as focused as you or me .... makes the battle easier. am i arrogant enough yet ?
